Ten years ago, Dr. Michael Elice co-published a study on the effects of Pioglitazone (Actos) therapy in autistic patients. Actos is an FDA-approved drug for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes. He will review the initial study and updated research on how this medication may be helpful in improving hyperactivity and stereotypical behaviors in autism spectrum patients.
