Is 'WHISTLEBLOWER' The Real Story About the Link Between Vaccines & Autism?

In the most recent issue of Autism File, Editor-in-Chief Polly Tommey sat down with Kevin Barry author of Vaccine Whistleblower: Exposing Autism Research At The CDC. The book is an account of four legally recorded phone conversations between Dr. Brian Hooker, a scientist investigating autism and vaccine research, and Dr. William Thompson, a senior scientist in the vaccine safety division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). 

Thompson, who is still employed at the CDC under protection of the federal Whistleblower Protection Act, discloses a pattern of data manipulation, fraud, and corruption at the highest levels of the CDC, the federal agency in charge of protecting the health of Americans. Thompson states, "Senior people just do completely unethical, vile things and no one holds them accountable."

Is it possible that this book nullifies the government's claims that "vaccines are safe and effective," and reveals that the government rigged research to cover up the link between vaccines and autism? According to Barry, scientific truth and the health of American children have been compromised to protect the vaccine program and the pharmaceutical industry.

Many in the autism community believe that there is a near-blackout in the media when it comes to vaccine safety and our government's handling of autism research.  Could these transcripts be the key to unveiling that the American public has in fact been deceived about this issue?

In the interview, I learned that according to Thompson, "The degree to which politics drives the CDC instead of science is one of the key takeaways from this book.  Autism is a "political hot potato" inside the CDC." He explains, "In addition, any time there is an "outbreak" the press LOVES to hype it and it genuinely scares people."

According to Barry, no government effort has been made to rectify the CDC misleading the public about vaccine safety research.  Of course, parent advocates and grassroots organizations are asking for Congressional hearings so that the public can hear what these doctors have to say under oath.  To date, no hearings have been scheduled leading Barry to believe that the government is doing everything they can to sweep the 'Thompson Transcripts' under the rug.
